Mr. Siddiqi is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. After Qualifying, he spent 18 years with KPMG initially on the Audit side where he was a partner and later on the consulting side as Managing Director of one of the KMPG practices.
Having extensive experience in the Middle East and South Asia, he left the profession in 1996 and established a television production company in South Asia Having successively established the TV Company which operates CNBC Pakistan of which Mr. Siddiqi is President.
Mr. Siddiqi then established Middle East Business News in 2001 .The Company owns CNBC Arabiya of which he is Chairman and Chief Executive officer.
CNBC Arabiya is responsible for a 19 country operation in the Middle East. It has its main studio in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It has its own bureaus in Bahrain, Doha, Kuwait, Cairo, Jeddah, Riyadh, Al Khobar and London and a strong representation in Tokyo and elsewhere in key locations in the Middle East.
Mr. Siddiqi is also Chairman of CNBC Africa. He is a director on the board of the Academy of Science and Arts of New York and has attended the KPMG partner development program at Stanford University.
