Sulaiman Al-Hattlan has an extensive journalism background in both the American and Saudi media and has worked as a consultant to numerous international media organizations.

In the aftermath of 9/11 Mr. Al-Hattlan published op-ed articles in such American papers as the New York Times, the Washington Post, and USA Today. He wrote a weekly column on political, social and economic affairs in the Arab world for the Saudi daily Al Watan.

After earning a degree in journalism from King Saud University in Riyadh and reporting from Afghanistan , Iraq and the U.S. , Mr. Al-Hattlan completed his graduate education in several U.S. universities including Georgetown , Howard and Harvard. In 2000-2001 he was awarded a Nieman Fellowship in journalism at Harvard University. Mr. Al-Hattlan became Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Arabia in March 2005.
