
Naser Al Ardah
Leader of the RI-SOL new program development initiatives in the Middle East and North Africa
Naser Al Ardah is from Palestine. He holds a Master of Environmental Studies degree from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, and a Master of Economic degree from Al Quds (Jerusalem) University in Jerusalem. During his undergraduate and graduate studies in economic, business, environmental studies and economic development, Naser worked for local banks, a national economic research and public policy institute. He also worked as a lecturer in economics and health economics in Jerusalem for one year and worked on local economic development and environmental programs in Ontario, Canada for one year.
Naser is now working with Relief International-Schools Online (RI-SOL) since early 2005 when then started as a project coordinator, then he was promoted to program officer, program director, country director and just in the recent months he was promoted to a regional position where he is now leading the RI-SOL new program development initiatives in the Middle East and North Africa.
Since 2005, Naser has initiated and established a network of six community based learning and action centers across the West Bank. He has developed, examined, and now is implementing a community based learning approach that characterizes the work of RI-SOL in the network of its centers. Naser has also initiated and established 23 Youth Social Entrepreneurship Clubs in one of the most conflicting areas of the Palestinian Territories. He has designed several successful programs such as education programs for Iraqi refugees in Jordan, Micro finance program for women and youth in the West Bank, community based learning and action programs in the West Bank, Jordan and Lebanon, Service Learning and Community development projects in the West Bank, Conflict Transformation, Dialogue and Service Learning and IT Initiatives for Development.
