
Mohammed Abou El-Enein
Member of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Relations
Mohammed Abou El-Enein was born in Cairo, Egypt, and is a graduate of the Helwan University, Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration.
In 1983, Mohammed Abou El-Enein founded Ceramica Cleopatra, a leading force within the field of porcelain tile, and exporter to over 100 countries. Mr. E-Enein also founded the Cleopatra Agricultural Development and Animal Poultry Division (CAPAD), and Cleopatra Silicon Valley. His subsequent business ventures include the Cleopatra for Integrated Development & Tourism Projects (CIDTP), Cleopatra Mineral Resources (CMS), and Cleopatra Industrial Megaprojects Eldorado.
Mohammed Abou El-Enein began his political career in 1984, as a member of the Economic Committee in the National Democratic Party. He was appointed by the President to become a Member of the Egyptian People’s Assembly. In 2000, Mr. E-Enein was elected as a member of the Egyptian People’s Assembly, representing the South Giza District, and served as the head of the Housing, Public Utilities and Construction Committee in the Egyptian People’s Assembly. In 2005, Mohammed Abou El-Enein was re-elected as a member of the Egyptian People’s assembly, and serves as the Head of the Industry and Energy Committee in the Egyptian People’s Assembly.
Mohammed Abou El-Enein has held a variety of political and economic positions including the head of the International Committee on Solving the Landmines Problem (EMPA), Vice President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, President of the Egyptian-Italian Parliamentary Fellowship Association, President of the Egyptian-Libyan Parliamentary Fellowship Association, Chairman of the Board of the Egyptian-European Council, Chairman of the Joint Egyptian-Libyan Economic Chamber, and Chairman of Group Cleopatra.
Mohammed Abou El-Enein sits as Chairman of the Abou El-Enein Charitable Organization, and he is a member of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Relations. Mr. El-Enein is a Board Member of several organizations, including the Arab Thought Foundation, the Advisory and Technical Committee of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, the General Authority for Illiteracy Elimination and Adults Education, and the Sporting Union of Universities.
